Title: setting up a Dillon RL550B
Post by: JJB11B on November 28, 2016, 06:01:53 PM
Yesterday I picked up the following very gently used and in like new condition on all of it
Dillon RL550B
Hornady Electronic Powder measure/dispenser/scale thingy
RCBS case trimmer
Lyman media Tumbler
Dillon manual Powder Measure

I am sure I am forgetting a few of the accessories I got but I paid $650 for everything, came with all the original packaging and receipts.

Does anyone have any advice on setting it up?
Years ago I had an RCBS Rockchucker set up that I bolted to a kitchen Table...

Make sure. The base is extremely sturdy. I find thee Dillon stands are worth the money, as well as the accessory tool holder.
They make a sweet light that fits into the turret that makes it a breeze to see as well, don't have that yet. But it's probably gonna show up for christmas.

Nice find....youtube has a ton of information on setting up the dillon presses.  You can also watch the videos on dillons web site I think.  Have fun, you got a great press.

How about building a bench? anyone ever topped their bench with Melonite? The OSB with the white plastic crap on it.

After googling Melonite it would appear that Melonite is not the word I was looking for. Melamine seems to be what I meant
