These were factory sako 7mm mag. But I shot n560 really well from 65 on up. If you go the Berger route, look up the article "getting bergers to shoot well"

:yeah: I have been using 154 gr Hornady Interlocks, SST's, Interbonds in front of IMR 4831. All with good luck.

Hornady 162 grain Interlock BTSP
63 grain IMR 4831
CCI #250 large rifle primers

This is a compressed load so work up load from safe starting point.

The 162 grain Hornadys are lead spire points that get beat up a little bit after loading and unloading in your rifle a few times. This might bother some guys, doesn't seem to effect accuracy.

Killer load in my Remington 700 BDL. 7mm Magnum.

Post by: RadSav on November 30, 2016, 12:28:19 AM: I run a 23.5" barrel on my 7 mag. It has become my most accurate magnum to date. It still can be finicky with heavier bullets, but it absolutely loves 140 grains of all flavors.

Most accurate load is actually the bullet I like the least - Partition. Bullet that seems to perform the best in the field has been the Accubond. Both well under MOA using the same powder charge, just different seating depths.

Case: Hornady
Primer: CCI 250
Powder: Norma MRP / 68 grains

Accubond in this gun likes .005 - .010" more jump than the Partition. Have not seen a change in group size whether I load at that .005" or .010". I did not add it to my notes, but if I remember right that means .025 - .030" off the lands for the AB and .020" on the Partition.

Have not hit a shoulder but heart lung areas have proven to be effective. :twocents:

Incidentally, I load he same 140 Partition for my kids to use in their 7mm-08's, makes buying bullets easy. ;)

Wow! I had no idea, just shoots great out of my 700. That's nice to hear, doesn't seem to be a throat burner, I been shooting it for years. I took my neighbor out and we could plink with it like a .22 and nail milk jugs at about 300 yds with no problem. That was just dinkin' around not really trying to do anything with it.

I remember using HMR but I don't remember the amount I would have to check my manual.
