"I Dream" of a shot like that. Dark antlers, great typical frame and eye guards. Not to mention perfectly broadside. Dream shot for sure.

That's a good one. Typical is actually what I kept coming back to, symmetry covers it also.

That's just how big his body is. ;)
-
Yeah I see you knuckle head. :chuckle:
-
Better ? Is what would he score. I'm thinking only 150-165. But his is a dandy.
-
Hmmm, I think I'd title it something like......" Hey look Mom! I can balance this frozen turd on my head. That musta been one big bear to squeeze this monster out". :chuckle:
Super nice buck, but that black thing centered above his head kills this photo for me. Too distracting. I'm not sure what it is, but it is so dark and centered that it draws the eye away from the subject. :twocents: I'm betting you've probably got ten other shots of that buck where that object is less obvious or distracting.

You got that right Bone. I love your work! You're a true artist, and it's not like your out there posing the subjects and can completely control the surroundings. Good thing film and developing is cheap, huh?
Sorry to be so "in your face" with my input, but I was having a bit of fun too. I was really into photography for years. I've read a lot of on-topic books and shot a lot of photos in my life- bad and good. The case in question comes from the portrait mistakes chapter, where the subject has a door jam, tree trunk, or some other extraneous object exiting their skull in the background. Little things that affect the overall composition of what would have otherwise been a successful photo. I figured you would understand immediately once I mentioned it. (Everyone else just thinks I'm an AH.) Keep up the great work man!
