My 14 year old son Casey has nothing on his mind but building a AR. His Christmas list was nothing other than AR stuff :yike: I told him he's to young and can't even own a gun yet and he says " I know, it will be yours until I turn 18" :chuckle:
He hasn't decided on a caliber yet but he wants it for shooting yotes and bobcats.

Smart kid. Knows the law.
Don't fight it, you won't win. Guide him, firmly, and makes sure he does the right things.

We are well on our way  He's getting a few things for Christmas to get his project going, I would post what I've already got him but he lurks on this site from time to time.
He wants to buy most stuff himself, and I can't argue with that :chuckle: He wants a LPK w/o the trigger group that way he can save the few extra bucks for a better trigger.

Thanks Matt, we may take you up on that.

Which lower parts kits do you guys recommend? Doesn't have to have the trigger group.

80% lowers have been on sale cheap at Midway. Could be a cool project for you 2.
