I think so
-
Christmas eve pot stirring..... I love it!
-
I'm thinking .338 caliber or larger. Most ethical killer out there..
-
No AR's period! They're unethical no matter the caliber!
-
And 10 gauge with a minimum shot size of "T" for all upland birds and waterfowl
-
I just can't participate in another "minimum Caliber" thread.......
-
Oh crap...... I just did!!!! :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike:

Whoa!
Never. 6.5mm is really just a half axed effort on being a 7mm.
And we all know we owe it to the critters to be complete axes.
-
All non rim fire rifles shooting a jacketed bullet should be allowed :twocents:
-

You can hunt with a 30 round magazine here in Arizona. Or 100 rounds, si quieres. :IBCOOL:

Here too! It's awesome for us commoners who can't shoot.
Next year I'm going NFA 240 or maybe old school 60.

Assault rifles are scary

you're right! .30 cal center fire rifles or bigger only! We all know "traditional" black powder rifles are way more ethical to hunt with than any "Modern Sporting Rifle"
-
Maybe 50bmg or nothing at all :chuckle:

I asked my hunting partner last year when he wanted to go to the range to zero in the rifles. No kidding, his response was: "I'll zero it in on the deer." :o

Don't any of you guys have families to harass instead to starting riots on the interwebs? :chuckle:

I'll see your 338 and raise you to 375!
-
I'd be fine with .277 since that's the smallest I use in this state.

I'd support that, but no pistols for hunting.
Hunting with pistols is unethical...... period.

nope

No, is this a serious question? Plenty of solid cartridges under that size

You take that back; they're just misunderstood! You're probably just part of the spray and pray crowd anyways. You guys with your long barrels, always judging us real hunters who don't need an extra 6" of barrel to get the job done. Unethical, good for nothing, bad shooting, small bore loving, sprays and prays so and so's.......
I think my next build will be an AR pistol in 375 SOCOM just for hunting. I need a 30 round mag though.

I don't just like my stuff killed deader, I want it killed the deaderest I can get it! Nothing does that quite as well as double tapped 260gr Accubonds from a 375.

I thought my pistol comment might get a response from you.

Pistols are fine as long as they're not bolt action! Or AR based

YOU'VE GONE TO FAR SIR!!!!!!!!!! Nice job ruining Christmas. :'(
On a side note, an AR pistol in 375 SOCOM would actually be pretty cooL

do you paint your toenails as well ?
-
If you can't hunt deer with it then why own it. Think a little farther out of the box, some are trying to find ways to keep you from even owning a gun. Don't throw fuel on their fire! :bdid:

Jeez, I try to dress up nice one time and everybody has to throw it back in my face. It was a special occasion alright!!!! I just wanted to feel pretty for one night!
-
Lol! merry Christmas!
-
maybe for elk but any 22 centerfire is fine for deer, most other states allow any 22 centerfire and my 22-250 destroys deer in georgia.
-
243 is one fine caliber and is used by alot of elk hunters I know. As everyone has said in previous threads it's all about shot placement. My go to deer cartridge is a .240 Weatherby.
Like grouse tracker said 22-250 is a deer killer in Midwest states. With a good bullet and placement it makes a good deer caliber. But there are plenty of people who can't shot a barn door and 10 paces hahaha :chuckle:
-
I think a lot of people think this is a serious thread. This is far less serious than the Bigfoot thread. >:( >:( >:(
-
Hahaha it's still fun hahahaha we should start another should .338 be minimum caliber for small game? :chuckle:
-

.45-70 lol
-
:chuckle: well if it's 45-70 you have to be with in 50 yards hahahaha
-
I do know the 264 Win Mag is an effective grouse cartridge.
-
:chuckle: well if it's 45-70 you have to be with in 50 yards hahahaha
You can take it out to about 65 yds now with the lever-revolution ammo.
-
:chuckle: how dare you say that Bobcat it is under powered for grouse :chuckle:
Just plain unethical :chuckle: :mgun2:
-
And 338 is the trespasser caliber of choice! people that shoot any form of 338 are trespassers by default
-
:chuckle: how dare you say that Bobcat it is under powered for grouse :chuckle:
Just plain unethical :chuckle: :mgun2:
I killed two blue grouse with mine, but it requires a head shot.

I guess it is adequate with good shot placement hahaha :dunno:

That's over kill! The pendulum has swung too far. Nothing over 22 for grouse!
-
I hate people who think AR-15's are worth anything. BTW what do you guys think of this? I am building a coyote rifle...
-
Well, I'm ok with anything under 6.5mm... As long as it's fully automatic and suppressed. But no magazines over 30 rounds. That's where I draw the line. Cause that's just crazy talk... :tinfoil:

I'm thinking 30 rounds is about right, you have to be prepared for a quick follow up shot, or 30, just to make up for these infierior bullet designs. Don't want to end up in the same catagorty of those **** arrow flingers with all that lost game.
