Title: Killik gear
Post by: Mulie87 on January 06, 2017, 02:33:09 AM: Ok, anyone bought the Killik line of hunting clothing from the only retailer that sells it....Sportsmans Warehouse?

Recently bought the following for my Montana deer hunt in nov:

Vital jacket
Pivotal pants
Half zip long sleeve
Warm weather moisture wicking long sleeve shirt
All in K1 cammo.

I absolutely love the gear. The pants are rugged, windoroof and highly water resistant. Did me well in late Nov in MT where weather was 35 and windy. Completly blocked the wind and when layered I stayed warm.

I would recommend this line.

His only complaint is that the pants are a bit long for someone short and stout. And they had to be tied up around the ankle when riding a bike while we hunted. But not much you can so when your 5'6" and not athletic build

Post by: Mulie87 on November 02, 2017, 07:52:49 PM: Trial #2. Went on a back bear hunt in Manitoba, Canada at the end of Sep. Killik gear worked well had mornings and evenings in the high 30's low 40's with some wind. Gear kept me warm and blocked the wind.

So I bought my gear last fall. Stitching came loose im crotch of my DWR Vital pants. Got back feom my Montana trip, took pants into Sportsmans Warehouse (where I bought them) and they allowed me to exchange them for a new oair right there. I had options. Exchange, or refund....if I had reciept. Good customer service my SW.

New pair held up during my 8dy bear hunt in Canada. Montana again in two weeks.

Went to SW last week and was looking at all this gear. Seems like quality gear. May have to pick some up.

Best $60.00 I have ever spent. This is a piece of gear I started using two seasons and I will never not have them on or in my pack.

Post by: DavidM on November 24, 2017, 02:50:05 PM: I have 2 pairs of there pants the vest and jacket. Between deer and Elk I wore mine every day for 20 days this year and I was very impressed. They kept me warm and dry with a good micro fleece base under the pants and micro fleece and a good fleece pull over under the jacket. My wife also has a set. They do run a little small so be sure to try them on.

Most mornings were in tne 20's and one morning itvwas 12°. Long johns under the vital pants, merino wool base layer long sleeve shirt, best and jacket kept me warm. I wore there vital gloves too. The gear worked like a charm. Live Killik!

That and my eyes are starting to blur from readings reviews, opinions and warranties. :chuckle:

I take them back to Sportsmens warehouse and exchange them no questions asked. I have a lot of their gear and that was the only issue I have had.

The way I see it, anything CAN fail. At least they stood behind their product. Thanks for the feedback. If I do end up picking up a set, I’ll post my own results after a few hunts.
