Been doing some beaver trapping along the Cedar River lately and got one big boy yesterday

Holy crap! The creek that runs through my property runs into the Cedar. Have never seen any beaver sign though.

Dandy beaver. Been years since I trapped but do they still call a large, stretched/fleshed/dried beaver hide a blanket or super blanket?

Man I love a nice shaved beaver.
So soft and fuzzy.
Guard hairs are OK but only a few.
