Hopefully this will be attached to my truck by the end of next week. 2013 Hewescraft Ocean Pro HT, 22' plus extended transom. This will be like having a boat at least four feet longer than our Alumaweld.
-
Very nice. I am jealous. What was the outcome on the last boat.
-
The float test was inconclusive, no obvious signs of water entry.

Did the insurance co total it?

Nice new boat, is it from twin bridges?
-
Are you going to be able to keep this one upright? :chuckle:

My good buddy has the same boat. You're gonna love it.

Yes. This is a 2013 from Portland. The insurance was good, just not quite good enough for a new boat.

Hope so.... This one will be insured for 150K. ;-)

Not this boat, my Alumaweld rolled over at the dock in the marina for some crazy reason in Dec.
-
Man Dale must have given big mod bonuses this year. :4w:

Good for you man, congrats!! Can't wait to get out on the water and do some fishing together!
-
Nice looking boat.....congratulations.
-
Good choice. My buddy delivers those boats for Hewescraft.
-
Maybe I'll be able to find someone who knows the halibut holes and I can follow them this spring......
I was thinking of taking Weathergirl over to Victoria for an inaugural voyage.

I may be willing to trade some pretty good Neah Bay halibut information for some San Juan spot shrimp information. I've been wanting to get up there for shrimp. The canal is a zoo.
-
Please come join us for shrimping, we usually do really well.
-
Nice boat...you'll enjoy it, same boat I'm running. San Juan's to Westport tuna and everything in between.
-
That's what I'm hoping, now my wife says I have to sell the Trophy....
-
What a beauty. Congrats Loki.
-
Awesome boat! Congrats, though I'm sure it's somewhat bittersweet having to deal with the events leading up to this point.
Selling that trophy huh....
-
What an amazing boat! Congratulations

Yep, it even has a flush toilet, just not a working engine....
-
Nice boat!
-
Lovely boat! I'd happily cook a lunch on it for a shrimp run with one oft boys. @kenzmad will vouch for bayside cooking skills.
-
Drop me a line at the beginning of the season, I mostly fish 7 east for shrimp but have gotten some in 7 west after the good season closes.

Of course my maiden voyage was done in the dark.... It was good though. I've got a few things that I need to do like figure out how to shade the bow as the spotlight really lights it up making it hard to see, I need to get a stool as the rails are a lot higher for getting in and out, the driver's seat needs a new compression cylinder, and I'd like to install some kind of cabin heater. Oh yeah, need a GPS/fishfinder as well.
-
I'd be interested in meeting with you someday to check out your new ride Ed, I've been thinking about that exact boat, or maybe the Alaskan, but have never been in one on the water. They seem like great boats for running around the SJ's and maybe doing some boat camping.

I'm not sure of the difference of the Alaskan model from the Ocean Pro, they are definitely not very common around here and are quite a bit more expensive than the OP's from what I saw in my search. I'll take you for a ride some time if you want.
-
The Alaskans are a touch wider and have a larger fishing deck, but you are right, they are not common, and are more expensive. Probably overkill for this area, but I like my space :chuckle:
-
What a beauty. Congrats Loki.
-
Boat ride yesterday, yucky day, but a better ride than usual.
-
Those windshield wipers are nice huh.
-
Oh yeah, haven't had one for three years.
-
We gotta get you a gopro and a mount, I bet you'd get some good footage
-
Great looking boat :IBCOOL:
