I was just about to build one when the 375 Ruger was announced so I went with the Ruger instead. I've never regretted that decision.

Now if I were to stumble onto an older custom in 375 Taylor I'd be all over it!

It's a rifle my father started but never finished. I found the barreled action in the shop  after he died. It's an Italian Mauser style receiver, pacnor barrel and rib with machine work done by Don Manning. I used a Boyds stock and did the final inletting and bedding and talked Glen Chapman into doing the bluing.

It shoots great, but really could use a recoil pad.

Beautiful rifle.
Recoil pad, bet it does.
I remember the beatings taken at the range bench.
I roll out into the brush now and shoot off the truck hood when working up loads for anything more then a 7-08.
Limbsavers on everything for me.

Have you gathered or made a set of dies yet?

Hornady dies and I used 458 brass necked down and trimmed.

I have thought about re-clambering to a 404 Jeffery based wildcat like a .416/375 ultra. But I've had a couple shoulder surgeries since then.

How long is the bbl?
I'm cutting mine to 21", 20 sounded short, and 22 less handy?
I'll look at hornady.

It's 24" and still points pretty good.
