get you turkey hunters fired up for the upcoming season. I just got back from Kona, Hawaii. Rio's everywhere...it was so cool. HUGE birds and huntable starting March 1st in specific units.

Very cool! I have seen a bunch on the Big Island as well. One of these days I will have to book a hunt there while my wife goes for a spa day!

Roger that...have always wanted to hunt the blacktails of Kauia (sp?) as well. Too bad theyre Oregon blackies :chuckle: Were thinking next year for turkeys as we found a cheap place to stay on the way to Hilo on a plantation. Based on the amount of birds i saw and mature toms I dont think it would be too difficult. No predators to speak of.
