Just got a 65 cooler. Looks nice can't wait to use it.
-
Love my Rtic 65. May have to get another one on this deal!
Go falcons

I have a Coleman Extreme. I've noticed that it holds ice much better than the larger Igloo that Costco sells for $100. Its obvious that the Coleman has thicker walls than the Igloo. Wondering if the RTIC would be a step up in ice retention over the Coleman :dunno:

I have the 65 but I wish they made one bigger.
-
I have the 20 and 65. Might have to get a 45 now.

Just picked up the 65. Thanks for the heads up.

I will be joining the 65 quart club as well 8)
Better order now before our coming trade war leaves us with American-made-only coolers for $400+ :yike:

Thanks for the heads up, just placed an order for a 45 and 65.

Wouldn't that just be the worst thing, companies that manufacture overseas using communist labor would have to actually compete with good old American companies who support local economies.

The roto molded coolers are for sure stronger then the Coleman but there have been numerous tests that show the coleman retaining ice just as well as many of roto coolers. Of course the yeti usually is at the bottom of the list of all of them. i

Couldn't resist. Bought another 65... figured I needed two. :chuckle:

I have an RTIC.
-
Looks like yeti is no better than the igloo :yike:, I have a Coleman and igloo. Never bought ice once after initial fill October 12, got home on October 25. The cooler with my meat still had at least half of the block left on all them 5 count Coleman extreme. My igloo had three blocks about half of the block left, plus it held my crushed ice, three bags all lasted long enough I didn't have to buy more of them either.
So the cheap ones work well enough for me, funny thing is when I was researching my Coleman extreme last fall a guy bought a yeti saying he want spending anymore one cheap ones. :chuckle:
-
Got a 65 ordered, I'm glad I didn't buy one a week ago at their full price when I was thinking about it.
-
Thanks! I've been eyeballing these for some time. Just ordered the 65. Great deal.

I think one of the problems with some of these YouBoob tests is that they aren't always done right. a cooler is an insulator before its a cooler. My garage is still 100*+ in September and October, and if I pull out both a heavy duty cooler and the thin, cheap Igloo then the ice will melt quicker in the heavy duty one if I don't bring the in the house a few days before the hunt and toss in some frozen stuffs from the upright freezer to properly prechill the coolers.
-
I got a 65 for christmas onsale. This is a even better deal. My son just ordered one last night
-
thanks for the heads up just ordered myself a 65 lets see how long it takes to get it
-
My dad just ordered two 65's. Two different coworkers also bought 65's. Looks like RTIC is doing some good business right now. :chuckle:

I think they are all pretty close in temperature retention anymore. The selling point for me is durability. I'm tired of having to replace coolers every couple of years.

I ordered one yesterday afternoon and received an email this morning that it shipped. Shipping was free. This is quite the deal.
I am also tired of replacing coolers every year or two, hoping this one is more durable.

I can tell you that they are made like a tank and weigh as much as one too :chuckle:
-
I ordered a couple too. They say I'll have them on Monday. Screaming deal. Thanks for pointing it out, Bean!

How are your guys' coolers breaking? I guess I've been kinda lucky. I had the drain plug on my Coleman Extreme start leaking a few years ago and the hinges wore off, but that was after almost ten years of use. and no I didn't strip the drain plug like this idiot here (http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,207623.0.html)! :chuckle:
I've been more concerned about the fact that I store them in the garage year over here when summer temps hit 110+ where I live. This is my first 'nice' cooler and I may find a home for it inside the house. Does the extreme garage heat break down the insulation inside? :dunno:
-
On my regular coolers the handles, latches and hinges break. The one that I am using now is a Coleman 10 day ice cooler. Hinges and latch broke in the first year. I went online and bought the upgrade stainless steel hinges and latch. They are awesome but the screws that hold them in are now stripped out.
Really hoping this one holds up better and keeps stuff cold.
-
Anyone know how long the sales going for ?
-
I just called them and they said likely through Superbowl weekend but not guranteed. They aren't currently backlogged with orders and shipping so why wait? That's the lowest price on a heavy duty cooler fit for a deer in history!

This. Plus, the wall on my 100 quart Coleman separated when I was dragging it a few feet last summer. Which pretty much ruined the insulation.

Just looked at the tracking of the two I ordered and shows delivery date of the 30th which is Monday. Not that I really need them right now but it's nice that they don't mess around getting them shipped out.

Thanks. I don't really need another performance cooler ( have 2 ). Was just curious if I could put off buying another for a couple weeks while I finish building another AR :chuckle:.
-
Also anyone notice their warranty went from 7 years to 30 days from original date of purchase ?
-
Wow....sure does say 30 days!
-
I'm not surprised at that price point. It also says warranty doesn't cover usual wear and tear. I'll probably load it up with ice and make sure it holds and check for leaks :dunno:
-
Usual wear and tear to not being covered under warranty is pretty standard.
-
Got my first one in today. I'm happy with it!
-
Crap. Just checked notifications from my private mailboxes and mine arrived today. Better get it tomorrow before they get ticked that its eating up half their floor space! :chuckle:
Looks like they're sold out and not taking back orders.
YETI vs. RTIC:
-
I think they're only sold out of the white 65, you can still get the tan colored 65 for the special price.
-
I ordered two 65s a few days ago
-
Got mine today. Fit and finish is not the greatest but I won't worry about beating it up now!

got mine today, looks good to me can't wait to put it to the test
-
Got mine today as well, other than some very tiny rotor mold shavings, looks and feels well built. Thing is heavy, should work way better than my Coleman and igloo's.
-
Mine came today as well, no problem with the manufacturing but UPS sure beat the heck out of the box in shipping resulting in some scratches on the lid and side. Anyone have similar expierences with shipping and anything that can be done about it?
-
Mine was just in a box with a plastic bag. No bubble wrap.
I filled mine up with about two bags worth of chipped ice last night and we'll see how long it lasts. I live in the desert of the Southwest U.S. so its about 60-70 in my garage during the day.

That's just pre tailgating/hunting street cred scratches. ;)
-

:yeah:
Like many, got both of mine today. Looked them both over pretty good and could find no problems of any kind. I thought the fit and finish was as good as any other high end cooler I've looked at so now all I need to do is put it to the test.
Thanks again to the OP for posting about this sale and the best part, now I have two great coolers for about half of what my sister paid for her YETI. :chuckle:
-
I've watched a few videos on YouBoob and being cheaper it seems as though there's been a few that have slipped through quality control that have leaked. Best way to detect this of course is to test it, but look at the threads inside the drain for an easy check.

UPS beat the heck out of my boxes too. Luckily the coolers were fine.

I also got mine yesterday, no dings or scratches and quality looks great, will do a leek test tonight.

Hard to complain for the money but mine looks like it was a scratch and dent. Gasket seems to seal so I'm keeping it and telling my friends it's been bear tested!

Mine just arrived. Box was a little beat up and torn but no real noticeable damage to the cooler. Heavy as heck empty. Can't wait to fill it up and test it out this summer.
-
My 65 came today. UPS guy was Jealous.
Soft side scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
Box in good shape. Cooler looks awesome
-
Got my 2 today too. Both in fine shape.
Great deal.

I Missed out on the 65. If anyone gets buyers remorse let me know, I'll take it off your hands.
-
I bought the 65 prior to Modern firearm deer season. I put 3 blocks in the bottom of it and the ice was easily 50% by the end of a 6 day trip. It was in the low 40's at night and mid 60's Highs. I kept all of my meat in it and it performed flawlessly.
I then bought a 45 and used it a couple of weeks ago bird hunting. I didn't use any ice, put my adult beverages in it, bottled water, meat and cheese. When I got there Friday at noon it was 6 degrees. It never got over 9 degrees the entire weekend and with lows of -2, my beverages or other items didnt freeze which suprised me. The cooler was in the back of my truck which has a canopy on it.
I have had no problems and very happen with them myself. They did arrive with the boxes beat to crap from UPS though. I figured it can't be worse than what I will be doing to them over time! They are worth the money to me :twocents:

That's my new plan after my buddy got his today and it looks new in comparison to what I received.

Had mine filled with ice for the last two days in the Arizona heat. Very little melting and no leaking :IBCOOL:
This could ruin me from cheap coolers forever :chuckle:
-
Not sure I'm glad I seen this. :dunno: :chuckle: Ordered the 65 waiting arrival. Will compare it to my Yeti.
-
I held out for a long time, but I just broke down and ordered the 45, a 20 softside, and the baskets for the 45 and the 65 I got for Christmas. Should be coolered up for anything I need to do for a while. I may have to live in them for a while when the wife finds out though. :yike:

I bought my 65 around Xmas so wasn't lucky enough to get this pricing but I just ordered a 45.

I opted for the soft side over the 20, just couldn't see the need for that heavy duty of a 20 qt cooler.

Well I dumped the water out of mine yesterday, all ice had melted but it was still frigid cold after like six days. I better stock up on the spare parts next.
-
The big sale is probably because they lost the lawsuit yeti brought on them. Paying out big bucks & have to redesign their product.
-
Was the original sale price 139?
-
The original price was $199. i think I and everyone else paid $139.

Magically, they are back in stock a day after the sale. Almost kuiu like with inventory showing up after the sale. My guess is inventory was always there, they just hit their budget on the promotion.

Is it their newly designed latch equipped coolers that are back in stock?

I think it is the same one.

I ended up getting two 45's the other day when they were on sale. Makes more sense to me to get two 45's instead of one 65. Easier for one person to load, also one for drinks and one for food. I already have couple Orca coolers but these were too good of a deal to pass up.
-
I don't see Yeti mentioned anywhere on their site now.
-
They are $199 now for the 65 - were they lower before ???
-
Yup $135 u think last week
-
Sorry it was $139.99 for the 65
-
I can't believe I missed out on this, dang. Those 65's were a smoking deal.

So sad to see good American citizens spending their hard earned money on Chinese manufactured products when American made alternatives are out there. Its all fun and games till the company you work for ships your job overseas because they want to increase their bottom line by going with cheap communist labor.

Not on sale anymore.

maybe if the American wasn't 2-3x the cost I'd consider it, but its not

Hopefully, our President will create an atmosphere which is friendly to business instead of one which penalizes people for their success. As it is, individuals and companies must take advantage of the savings afforded by buying imported goods. It's not fiscally possible for people to operate in the black purchasing only American-made goods while their competitors don't.

Which would you prefer to buy, an American owned product made outside the country or a foreign owned product made in the US? If those were your only two choices

Finally back at home again, the 65s are perfect! Neighbor was checking them out and kept saying those are Yeti coolers (he'd know since he has one)

Anybody want to trade me a white 65 for my white 45 and $10?
