Well, it looks like another season of coyote hunting is behind me. I have been seeing lots of coyotes lately, but most are scrub-tails, and the fur isn't worth skinning. I think the snow pushed them to hunt brush, with resulting loss of guard hair.
I hate for it to end, but I just lose my enthusiasm when they aren't usable.

Still haven't picked up a dog with mange this year. I've had 1 that was rubbed. I just put one up yesterday that was one of my better ones of the year, but then again most dogs I shoot are snake river coyotes. My season is coming to a close as well. Goal was fifty, I'm at 41. Maybe next year. I hate it when the season ends.
