653-654 is closed to cougar , quota met. Have any of you seen this happen before for these units ? I called the state today to get the numbers , I wanted to know how many cats came out of each unit . They could not give me that information . I told them that I have concerns that all the cougars were coming out of 653 , the Mucks run dogs ( I have first hand knowledge of it ) and their kills counts against the quota . I have no problem with the Mucks running dogs , predators need to be thinned , I do have a problem if the quota is coming out of only 653 and there are no kills in 654 . I mentioned that maybe they should set quotas for each GMU to properly manage the numbers .

Makes sense as you have said to make each one to have their own individual quotas. But, like any other organization it probably won't happen.

At least for the cougars. Don't need to use dogs on a black bear. Cougars are just getting *censored* lately. Keep hearing they are more prone to coming out into the open following the deer.

I have seen many around my area 667. Seen pics of 7 together in yard and looking through sliding glass door. Horses smell em and freak out soon as they get out of trailers! Kinda creepy around here.
