Title: 2009 Raffle Deer Tags
Post by: Wea300mag on February 17, 2009, 11:10:12 AM: I noticed that there are two new raffle deer tags available this year, Raffle Mule Deer and Raffle Whitetail deer. This is in addidion to the standard Eastside Raffle deer. I know this was brought up last year but I thought they were just going to offer the extra whitey tag. So either there is an error in the ordering system or there really are two new tags available.

That's what I was thinking. If you are going to blow 7K on a special whitetail tag you better have one HELLUVA buck tied to a tree to use it on... Maybe some nocturnal monster that never shows his face in the daylight until the shootin' stops...

I think there might be a monster whitetail getting bag this yr.

The have taken the eastern deer away but I have already purchased several of them. Now I have to call them to see what my options are. :bash: :bash: :bash:

However, for those average guys out there who will never, nor will ever be able to spend that kind of money on a tag it can seem a little ridiculous. So count me out of the acution tag race.
Unless I keep my karma up and win a tag from the Arizona Big Game Super Raffle, I don't think I'll ever have from Sept. 1st to Dec. 31st to go looking for the biggest critter out there.

They recognized their mistake of having the Raffle Ticket Deer Eastern as an option for purchase and asked me which of the two available deer tags (muley or whitey) I wanted to transfer my Raffle Ticket Deer Eastern chances to. I'm not sure how many people bought tickets for this tag that never really existed but I would suggest calling them and letting them know which you want if you did.

They probably just deleated them from the system after they hung up!!!.........LOL

You should call them and let them know that you want it moved to the mule deer tag (328). Make sure you tell them you want to talk to someone in licensing or you will waste a bunch of time on the phone like I did. There has to be many more out there who purchased this now bogus tag.

When I called them, they ended up going all the way to the guy who keeps the spreadsheet on these tags because all the phone people had no idea what I was talking about. Hopefully they come up with a decent solution. I assume that most of the people who purchased these bogus tag chances would want the mule deer option, so maybe the default is to move them all over. :dunno:

I explained to him that when I purchased my license and tags I had also purchased several different raffle tickets. I then told him that my brother got online to buy his and auction 123 was no longer an option, he then asked for my ID number. He pulled it up and asked what the number was again. I told him it was # 123, he said "well I'm looking at it right here" I said I understand that but I'm being told its a mistake and not a real auction. He says "if you payed for it, its a real auction". I then asked him if it was a real auction, why can you no longer purchase tickets for it? He then says "let me ask someone". After a couple minutes he gets back on and says, "ya, you are supposed to pick either mule deer or whitetail" I then told him to check my purchase, I have one of each of those as well. He says "hang on" another couple minutes and he gets back on and says "your right, there was a mix up" He says "you need to pick one or the other" and again I said I have already purchased one of each of the others and would like to know my options. He says, "hang on again". Gets back on and says "would you be okay adding another ticket to one of your choices" I told him sure put it on mule deer but I would like some sort of confirmation that I have an additional ticket for it, rather than just take your word that it will get done. Again I got a "hang on" :chuckle:......back on the phone he tells me "I can do it online and send you another receipt in the mail" I said deal. Now you can bet your ass I'm going to be checking my purchase online in the next couple days to see if its been added to my lifetime purchases. ;)

Bottom line guys, if you purchased one of these, like Wea said, get on the phone and get it taken care of, it sounds like its going to be a bonus deposite for them with no real draw if you don't.

well if you look at the memberlist and look at some of the profiles some havent been on here in a year or even longer than that. just on here make a couple posts and move on. but yes there should be someone who knows them.
