Really? Because of the weather or are there no more fur sales?

Wouldn't have thought they would do it this early. We still have 2+ feet of snow up here.

Doesn't have anything to do with the snow as how long they stay prime .The hours of light dictate when they start to break down also the light dictates when the go prime.

Had no idea, thanks for the info. What are the best times to harvest?

Late Oct, to about Christmas on the west side, depends on how much rain we get. They mat on the back in the rain.
East side you can go to about the end of Jan.
-
On the east side to stay in the heavy category you want to kill them from the last week of October till the end of November. This is for your best chance at heavy some coyotes will never grade heavy. you can still kill them in December and January but most likely they will be graded semi heavy. I see it every year when I am picking up furs on the east side. I did have a lot of happy guys today when they saw what they got yesterday. great job Bob!!!

Oh man, I have to disagree. Cats should be good through the end of the season, March 31.
