Title: Anyone sell C&Rs?
Post by: garrett89 on February 15, 2017, 12:05:41 PM
Trying to establish a decent personal collection/shooting classics. Any direction would be fine even if it's a website/particular gun show. Thinking about buying 1 a year starting the end of this year.

gunbroker has a section to get C&Rs, you can get them sent straight to your door.

Alright. Just kind of wondering if anyone knows a local shop that won't kill the bank. I got jgsales.com, themosincrate.com, and aimsurplus.com that I'm also keeping an eyeball on.

I've had a C&R for years.  used to be into mausers, but had too many irons in the fire.  I'm down to 3 or 4 i think... a really nice Gustov swede barreled action from SOG (to stay 6.5x55), a Yugo M24-47 destined to be a 6mm, a Steyr 1912 (ruined by the hacks at Brock's Gunsmithing), a spanish 93, a Steyr Mannlicher M95 (wanna do a 30/40 Krag), a Winchester M1917 (to make into a .404 Jeffery)...  The one I regret getting rid of was the Persian mauser barreled action from SOG with the farsi script.  It was unissued, absolutely gorgeous!  The BNZ 43 action was nice, but better for a restoration than sporterizing.  Oh, and i almost forgot the last ditch Arisaka...  and the spanish colt pocket .32 copy...

The one I want first if I can find it would be the Finnish m39 mosin. Probably won't find that one first though.
