I bought a KUIU bino harness last year for my 10x42 binoculars. I was advised by KUIU to get an XL. The top flopped open and wouldn't stay closed. I contacted KUIU and they told me that I need a Large, not an XL. I returned the XL, waited three weeks for a credit, and ordered the Large. The Large is too small and doesn't fit my binoculars. I contacted KUIU today and they said they can't refund the original purchase price; they can only give me another gift card. I will have paid for four shipments (two each way), and will have a gift card that is worthless to me (after waiting another three weeks for the credit, most likely.)

Why is the gift card worthless?

It's worthless only to me. I don't plan to make any more purchases from KUIU.

Got it. They should have refunded you since the product did not work for your binos. Put the gift card in the classifieds somebody will probably buy it

That's how I see it, since the purchase was made on their recommendation which turned out to be incorrect.
I will try to sell the card when I get it.

What 10x42 bino's do you have? I run a large kuiu harness that has worked great with 10x42's

Swarovski EL. They have to be squeezed in with two hands.

Did you look at the u tube set up. I have the 10X42's also and didn't have any problems.

Gotcha, I run the slc's. The el's are a bit bulkier. Only complaint about the kuiu harness is that its not user friendly to go back and forth from the tripod, the snaps need to be down on the harness so that you do not loose the straps over your shoulders.

Ill take them gift cards off your hands.

Get some from FHF gear and your won't be disappointed

Srry your harness didn't work.
I have the xl for my 10x50slc best bino harness I've used you're able to adjust how right the top is off and on

I have 12x50 El and they fit in a large. It is tight but they fit. I should have ordered the XL but I manage with what I have.

It amazes me this company is still in business. They seem to have a very small market and that's all they care about. But you get people drinking the Koolaid and that's all it takes these days.

$50 million in sales last year according to Fortune magazine. I think they will be in business awhile. They make some of the best hunting clothing on the market too.

I had no clue how to put my harness together. Never wore one and had no clue wth to do. Watched the video and got it figured out step by step. I use nikon 10x50 in a xl though since they are full size binos and bulky. Never had a problem but I can see a potential one if the shoulder straps weren't set up correctly and the binos pulled up against the lid of the pouch

Quite apparent you have already made up your mind about their product

They have tension cords you adjust to keep the top closed however tight you want it. If these arent used the top would flop open. It sounds like this may have been the source of original issue? Maybe cords were missing?

That is the issue for me, and even with the cords pulled tight on mine there was little tension on the top flap and thus it is often flapping partially off the binoculars. Perhaps for some that's OK, but I prefer a bino cover that stays put until I remove it. My opinion is that KUIU's recommendation to use a smaller harness shouldn't have been suggested, as it resulted in two more shipping charges for a harness that doesn't fit a common binocular.

I have mine set so I have to give a good tug on mine to open.

Fhf or Alaska guide creations. Done. After using just about everyone of them, these are the top 2 hands down.
