Title: Hunting partners 2017 Turkey Hunting Season
Post by: Butchmeathook on February 22, 2017, 12:43:17 PM: Looking to go east Kettle Falls/Colville this season. Anyone want to buddy up and go or I can meet you there. I've been there a few times but have had no luck. May even try Goldendale not too sure yet. Thanks for looking and hope to make some Turkey Hunting buddies!!! I am in Port Orchard, Wa. Thank you!!!

Post by: zkhowes on March 27, 2017, 04:02:18 PM: Hey All, my hunting buddy is battling pneumonia :yike: so the doc advised him to stay inside and rest for 4-6 weeks. So I'm wondering if any of you want to go hunting?

I'm planning on heading up to Colville/Kettle Falls area. I'm flexible with dates but was thinking 4-5 days around the opener.

I have some experience in general hunting but only a couple seasons into Turkey. No success yet but digging it. Responsible dude in his mid 30s and moderate shape. I should be far less than a handful in the woods.

I was wondering if any of you would want to go out and chase turkeys with me? I want to learn as much as possible and would love to get any experience i can or pick an experienced turkey hunters brain! I was planning on hunting in the northwest portion of the colville natl forest this year but whatever works!

Since moving to the PNW I fish steelhead and salmon in SW WA rivers and hunt upland birds. I am looking to learn from a individual or group who wouldn't mind a new guy in their group. From what I have been researching, Klickitat area is where i will be focusing my attention. Of course I have patience, truck, blind, gun and have been looking at decoys.

Antways the special minded ( science peeps ) say there are live bacteria that the birds cant fight off and it wrecks the natural protien build up in turkeys and is not able to kill that bacteria so we eat it some how , all i know is im not hunting by cattle , ive got enough doctor visits in my liveing hell .

I've been hunting and eating wild turkeys for 25 years, I've killed plenty around cattle. I've never heard about this, please post where you got your info.

He told me a story of a medical class he had ,,, they were told to bring a pork chop to class on friday , they put them in a dish and left them out till the following monday , when the gotback the pork chop was moveing , thats tbe same thing that im trying to get threw your smart armour take that one to heart cuz im liveing breathing proof this is a true fact that you will deal with one way or another,,doctors are just someone that is healthier than me but im still hear driveing you guys up the perverbial wall so something is working or right ?

BTW, cook your pork and it won't do that. Now you made me hungry for a pork chop.
