Hi guys,
Curious which taxidermist in the state you'd have mount your ram? Looking for some recommendations with pictures if possible. Who is the best? I'm sure there are some good taxidermists around but who would get your business for that once in a lifetime ram???
-
Best question is why? :chuckle:
-
idk How his sheep come out but I would make one call to Mike at Natures Way Taxidermy and if he says he can do a good job I would take it there.

Buzzy Cook out of North Bend or Rick of Cedar River taxidermy. They have both mounted sheep for me and they turned out great. I'll say Rick out of Cedar River did some amazingly cool stuff to the back of my dall that is a pedestal mount. He made it look amazing.

"Bucklucky" at Charlie's Taxidermy does great work too.
-
I thought I'd add a picture of the back of the pedestal. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170309/a6246db626fb346fb436ee21c9863a57.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170309/63a813705d74d1b4a7b00a6e7bfbc970.jpg)

Love Brian's ram and appreciate Rick's work. If I get another ram it's going to cedar river

Beautiful ram Ridgerunner! I like the pedestal mount. Pretty cool option if you're looking for something more than the traditional shoulder mount.

Agreed, that's a sweet mount! Bring it to the banquet!

Dan Yedinak at four point taxidermy in Wenatchee. He has done some fantastic work.

That's a really nice looking mount ridgerunner!

That Dall mount is ridiculous Ridgerunner!
-
Charlie's Taxidermy one of the few guys that can do it all. Some peoples elk look good, some people deer look good. All of Charlie's stuff turns out amazing.
He has my sheep right now.

Agreed.... :dunno:

Thanks for the compliments on the mount. I wanted a pedestal mount, Rick came up with the idea for the back of sheep all in his own and did it all himself. I was blown away when I picked it up, he turned a once in a lifetime hunt into a once in a lifetime mount too, it's very cool, never seen anything like it.

Pic from Mike's website at Nature's Way...........
I'd take any animal I want to look it's best to Mike.
-
Look up Dean Haun in Thompson Falls Montana, has a ton of awards, small operation and does a lot of high end sheep from all over north America... IMO no one compares...\I highly recommend...

Can't wait to see that bad boy👊🐏👊

We have some talented taxidermists in our state for sure but if I'm ever fortunate enough to tag a trophy class sheep I'm sending it to someone who is nationally recognized as a sheep expert. Dean Haun of Thompson Falls Montana has many awards for his sheep work and would be my first choice.
-
Ric Shirrod in Tieton did my Cleman Mountain sheep, and my cousin's the following year out of the same unit. Ric has done a lot of sheep mounts and I highly recommend him. He's on this forum as "Elkstuffer."
