I'll hopefully be posting some tomorrow, scheduled from 9-1pm. Hopefully there is a cool breeze on the water, its 80 degrees and sunny here now.☀️

Dinner was at Hogfish Bar and Grill, almond encrusted hogfish on a bed of rice with yellow squash, washed down with a hogfish margarita.

This place is a must if you go down to Key West.

It looks amazing.  I have spent some of time around Orlando, and up north around ft. White.  I never made it to the keys I will have to make some plans here soon.

The fishing was ok, only caught to keeper yellow tails, caught lots of non-keepers, but the weather and sea state was perfect. Going jet skiing today. Sea state is degrading the next two days.

Sounds like you had fun. I've only fished amberjack in the gulf, which was a ton of fun.

That's why the rooster crossed the road. And then a bigger rooster came and stole his hen from him 15 seconds latter after almost getting run over.

It's always a disappointment stepping out of the plane here after spending time in a warm, sunny place.

I grew up in south Florida and spent a LOT of time scuba diving in the keys.  Key West (Key Weird) is a hoot! If you haven't toured Hemingway's house, it is worth it  :twocents:.  Also, the Conch Train tour is good.  I must have gone to Key West 20 times before someone talked me into doing it.  It was very good.

Have a great time in the Conch Republic - I sure miss it!

Drove up to Big Pine Key and found the elusive Key Deer. The first pic is last years fawn I think. The rest are a lot bigger. Some bucks if you look close.

They were eating something off the ground, but I couldn't tell what it was. Flew home Thursday, so now I'm enjoying the rain with the rest of you.  :chuckle:

These full grown deer are the size of our fawns in the fall, saw a motorcyclist pick up a dead head along the road that was a buck it had three points and decent mass, but still was like a really young whitail three point.

So, did the chicken cross the road to get a pack of Marlboro's?  :dunno:

Haha, no he was chasing the hen. Then the bigger rooster stole her, the next day in the same spot roosters were everywhere. Chickens are all over Key West and are protected, saw lots of hens with broods.
