Sleep in, I've never gotten up early for bears. Get some permithen or what ever it's called and spray down your clothes, boots and packs , it will help with the ticks. Glass the hillsides, stay around the green line or snow line. Keep your eyes open, and be patient. Don't burn up all your vacation time in the beginning of the hunt, it's a long season and it only gets better.thanks! Outside of the PBR event in tacoma i should have every weekend free :tup:

I've seen first thing AM bears, but you're correct, most bears show up in the 8-11AM range and then 3-Dark.
Last 45 minutes is usually pretty exciting.

Last year I received my permit within a week, or at most two, of the drawing results.
