If you have some nice whitetails from this state, do show and tell. I took this one several years back towards Walla Walla.
-
nice buck but i really like the look of those ducks in the background, full pic of those? I really need to kill me a big whitetail but i just cant stop chasin mulies long enough to do it
-
Very Nice!
-
Great whitetail, a couple guys on here have gotten some nice ones up in the NE corner. I've never made it up there though.
-
Awesome buck! I love how the front points come around like that.

-
My two best from the Kettle Falls area when I was a kid in the 80s. Now I mostly hunt mulies. Crap. I think I had it backwards... should have been hunting mulies in the 80s at the tail end of the "good ole days... :chuckle:
-
Here are my 2 from NE WA. Shot 05,06 in the exact same spot the bigger of the two was tooth aged at 6.5 and the 4 point was 11.5.
-
Good bucks!!!!

Awesome buck! I love how the front points come around like that.
I saw one at my taxidermists that the fronts actually cross with less than a sliver of clearance between 'em will see if I can get a pic later.
-
Wow, 11.5!!!!
That tells you something about the hunting pressure, terrain and deer numbers over there. Not many places left in the entire country where a person can shot a deer that old.
Here are my 2 from NE WA. Shot 05,06 in the exact same spot the bigger of the two was tooth aged at 6.5 and the 4 point was 11.5.
-
I got this one in 2007..
-
IS that a cheney area buck? I saw some dandies there when I lived there.
-
yes it is .in 07 i drew a late tag for the unit but i got him on the last day of the general season.
-
Dandy Bucks everyone is sharing. Bridger, your '07 buck's split brow tines reminds me a little of my partner's '07 buck from the palouse.

Some nice looking Whitetails from Washington State.
-
The rack with the red felt cap is my largest Washington Whitetail to date. (The other three racks are all N Idaho Whitetails)
-
Heres a few palouse bucks. Nothing real big but they put meat in the freezer.
The first pic is the double that Wazzuhunter and I got about an hour apart. As you can see Wazzuhunter made a good shot right through the bucks face.
-
I cant figure out how to center the picture. Maybe on the next picture I will figure it out. :dunno:
-
A couple more little bucks.
-
Outstanding bucks, all you guys.

-
Wow. Great bucks everyone!
-
Here is my best whitey, he basically got me hooked on them, got him 3yrs ago in colville area, and have seen 5 bucks in the last 2 yrs that make this one look like a spike. missed a 140+ last year with my bow :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
MLcoug, that thing is a pig. Love the width.
-
Thank you Steeleywhopper....
The spread is 24 5/8"
-
That is a great buck ML. I had trouble drumming any big ones up this fall for the camera. Not sure if you want me to add my pics as they are on here already of a couple that I have gotten.
-
Here is my buck from 07 and my small 4 pt from 08
-
I don't have a picture...when I was at WSU in the early 2000s, a classmate of mine nailed a 7x6 whitetail in the Spokane area. It had a 21" inside spread and scored 170+. It was by far the biggest whitetail set of antlers I had ever seen in person.
-
Nice looking bucks there Dave!!
-
All I can say is WOW! Congrat's to all on some beautiful Washington Whiteys.
-
10key was that buck hit in north spokane on market street?
-
2005 late season buck... called in with a grunt call. 25-06, 100 TSX. Unit 124 I believe (but I may be wrong on that). I'm thinking this year I may go back with a bow...

Here is my 08 late buck i got it north of colville. And no the gun is not pointing at me it is resting on the antlers. Shot kneeling at about 70 yds with an A-bolt II 325 WSM 220gr pp . I wish everyone else would include the type of rifle and ammo they were shooting.

Nice buck superdown. Pictures are making me dizzy though.... :chuckle: :party1:
-
This is my Whitey from Lincoln county. He is the second whitey I have taken. Shot him from my tree lounge on the edge of a wheat field. 4x5 and he scores onlys 96 3/8's.
-
An add on for Superdown...My whitey was shoy with a Winchecter model 70 short action in .308. 26" heavy barrel. Maybe 85 yards. I was in my tree stand maybe 2 1/2 hrs. He and another smaller buck and three doe popped out to feed right after the sun went over the horizon.
-
An add on for Superdown
Top 1 in my post, left hand Win M70 classic in 270 WIN handloaded 130 TTSX, 2nd from top, T/C Black Diamond in .54 cal using powerbelt bullet, 3rd from top, sporterized springfield 30-06 factory loads, 4th from top, WIN M94 in 30-30 WIN factory loads, bottom 1, browning A-bolt in 25-06 factory loads, 120 gr Rem cor-lokt.

:) Thanks guy's it's always cool hear what's actually being used .
-
Shot this one in 05 during the late hunt in the Peola area.
-
Holy cow!! Nice buck slayrock. I was poking around Peola in 2006, just kicking around scouting and wishing I had the late buck tag. Saw one with that kind of mass bedded at the edge of a wheat field 'bout a half mile away. Not as many points though...

Yea there are some bruisers up there. The year I got this one I had seen two bigger bucks but they were on private ground that I couldnt get permission to hunt. Even if I could have gotten permission it would have been hard to pass up this one at 75yrds standing broadside.
-
These are my best two Washington Whitetails. I arrowed the first buck in 2002. I hunted this buck for two seasons and had over 40 hours in the stand the second year. It is an 8x7 that gross scored 153 6/8". The second buck I arrowed in 2006. It gross scored 143 3/8".
-
Welcome and congrats on your buck
-
Awsome bucks chad!
-
Now there's a couple great lookin' Whitetail! CONGRATS and WELCOME. Very nice entrance, I must say.

Yup, i drew the thanksgiving late buck hunt....
-
This is my best whitetail. Taken in 2006 with my smokepole. 25.5" wide and gross scores a little over 152
-
BBB That buck has some tall eyeguards. What do they measure?
-
Nice bucks guys, :hello: welcome Chad
-
My buck has 8 and 9 inch eyeguards. He also has 26 inch mains
-
Nice buck bigbullballs  Love the eyeguards!
-
Thought I would past a picture of my Stepdad's biggest deer. Shot it in 1982 in the Newport area. I inherited it in 1994 when he passed away and just had it officially scored at the Tri-Cities Sportsmans Show last month. Official was 188 1/8 net, so it made the books pretty comfortably (if not for the broken tine, it would have made the all-time book). I still have to write a affidavit and send in the fee to get it entered in B&C since I didn't kill the deer, but it should be published in the 2010 book. First pic is of my 10 year old holding the rack, second pic is "long armed" :chuckle:
-
Great buck!
-
That bucks a stud. WOW

Awesome buck, Chad - Welcome. Looks like his right main beam turned downward like the left side, but was broken off (?). What was his final score?
-
That buck is a hog pathfinder!

You are right, it does. I inherited all of my stepdad's racks when he passed, and I am working my way through them. This guy's gonna be last though. Don't want to tackle him til I know what I am doing. Right now I am working on a 154" buck that he shot out from under me in 1989 :bash: Still got about 3 to go before I do this one...

I'd love to see your pics. Post 'em up. Lots of folks know where one of those photos was taken, but that wasn't where those bucks were shot. I just ran down the road a couple miles from the house that day and snapped a few photos while on the way to hang those deer in the cooler. Actually, the biggest buck in the back of the Z71 was shot somewhat near there, though. Actually, I have some more whitetail photos, but I don't post them because they do give away the kill sites so they'll just stay in the vault. ;)
-
Looks like the Palouse. Lots of white tails in those fields.
-
I heard that in the Palouse the bucks like to hide in the back of your pickup.... :P
-
Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the site.
Bow4elk,
He did have a broken main beam on his left side. It is hard to say if it turned down the same as the right main beam does. He also had a large non-typical tine broken. His official net non-typical score was 144 2/8". He had 11 6/8" of abnormal points. I posted another picture that shows the broken beam and tine better.
Good Huntin',
Chad Berry
-
Nice looking buck.
-
Wow. Lots of nice whitetail bucks coming out of the woodwork here. Welcome to the site Chad.
I heard that in the Palouse the bucks like to hide in the back of your pickup.... :P
And yeah, Pathfinder, you probably know that all you have to do is head for the Snake on the opener and park under a steep bank. Once that army of orange is in full march, a buck will eventually just fall right in the back of the pickup. All you gotta do then is get out and take a picture. It's awesome. In fact, I can't believe more guys don't head for the breaks on the opener. :chuckle:
-
I'll have to try that one next fall... I think I am usually in the army of orange :chuckle:
-
Good idea. I hunted it when I went to WSU. Nothing like hearing what seems to be 100 gun shots before noon. It's a wonder a buck lives past opening day on the breaks. You find out real fast if your a bad shot, because your shot alearts the guys on the breaks then the hail of bullets start to fly as the deer is fleeing. Best hit the dirt.

Easy on the Snake, I want to actually hunt this year instead of chasing down road hunters. Our place is right on one of the main drags and it is a pain in the arse.....last year was actually nice - $4.00 gas made road hunting too expensive!
Hacksaw, one of my best friends farms the "big hill" in the background. Thank god the big boys stay up there with you guys running around! :chuckle:

Joe
-
Thats a narly buck PA  Where did you get him at?
Chewelah.
-
That is a nice one. The taxidermist could get you a cape probably for just over a $100-$150.
-
yes around 150.00 plus shipping for a nice 22-23 inch neck cape. That thing is just an awesome deer, I think I would still be getting up in the middle of the night to walk out there and look at it
-
Here's my first whitetail buck. Always hunted mulies until last year, A buddy asked if I wanted to take a trip to the NE corner for a shot at some whitetails. Sorry about the picture quality.

guts, Is that a archery buck or rifle buck?

Bowhunterforever,
Sorry it took me so long to reply. That's my modern buck from last year. First year rifle hunting this state in about 12 years. Thought I'd try something different. We didn't see alot of bucks but did see a couple really nice ones. This was the only one i had a real chance at because of all the private land up there. It was the last day of the hunt, we had been there for 4 days. The rut seemed to be starting just as the season was ending. He was chasing a couple of does in a draw when I shot him at about 150 yards with my 260 Remington with 120 grain Ballistic tips. He only took about 2 steps and piled up. I have to admit that it was pretty cool seeing how different the whities rut than the mulies, definetly seem to be alot more territorial with their scrapes and rubs.

I did actually did the mount myself. Never really scored it but I would guess 90-100ish.
