Wow Steve, what a great Idea! Good for you. What do you use them for? Ducks? Bears, Preditore? Buck snorts+ grunts? coyote howels? Pecock  turkey locator?? I bet you could get the guys to send their antlers and sell the call at the same price! That flat one is realy cool looking!

These are all enclosed reed distress calls for predators. I can tune a cougar whistle too, but it's extra $$$.

Ducks and Deer calls are two piece, one holding the reed, another encasing it. Howlers have an exposed toneboard that you can bite on to tune and pitch the sound.

I can build any of the above out of just about anything!

Thanks!

Can you make cow calls out of elk horn????  How about doe bleats???

Cow calling and doe bleats are both best done with open reeds, and yes the body can be made from elk antler. Rick does them all the time. I can do them on request.

You can tune a doe bleat in an enclosed reed, it's not bad, just not as good as if you practice an open reed. Cow call can't be done right on an enclosed reed. Close, but not right.
