Just came back from the wilds of my back yard, where I sent some of the first arrows of the year downrange. It felt good to watch the arrow rise to meet the sight pin on the face of the target. And now I can't help but think of September, with its cool mornings and the sound of elk bugles on the breeze... Anybody else out there impatient for September?
I really hope this is the year where I break the chains of my "elk curse", or I will have to change my Hunt-WA name to "whitetailboy". Cheers everyone. Good luck on the turkeys.

I too can not wait and in the same boat of the elk curse. Going to go hang some cams today and cut in a slightly better trail to a year round spring hidden in a mess of woods that I stumbled across.
