Post by: wahunter21 on April 11, 2017, 10:51:59 PM
So I know a guy selling a four winds express 28 ft travel trailer for 1750obo. Think I could maybe get it for 1250-1500, is it just me or is that a smokin deal? And would my 2015 chevy 1500 v6 tow it ok? Any input is appreciated

Unless there is something seriously wrong with it, seems like a smoking deal. I just sold my 2012 26' Salem for $14500.

I would suggest a little stouter tow rig for a 28 footer.  :twocents:

Sound Ike a steal. Get it and use the money you save to upgrade the truck.

Yea I wish. Truck upgrade isn't an option at this time. Might just have to pass it up, just hard because it seems like such a good deal!

I know the guy selling it and he is just in a rough spot and is basically giving it away.
Maybe I should just buy it and resell it :dunno:

OK.  I only need it for the summer, and could give you first chance at half price when I am through with it.   :twocents:

I have an idea. How about I buy it and then sell it to you for twice the price and you still get a deal, lol. You can just get it from me in north Spokane area
It's a win win :chuckle:

It's dry weight is 6700. It's gvwr is 9600. My truck has a tow capacity of 7600. If I didn't load the trailer with lots of gear water etc. Would I be ok with a weight distribution hitch sway bars and brake controller? It would just be the occasional family camping trailer. Within a couple hundred miles at most. Thinking it might be a little stout for my truck but :dunno:
