Anybody going on the 15th for a hike ?
-
90% sure I'll go. Never been before
-
Well I made it to Sunriver I figured I'd get here a little early and find me a place to camp was hoping to camp up near the gate but there's no camping all the way up the road from the sign
I camped at Willow Creek reservoir seems like the closest spot that was OK I got here last night there's already 25 vehicles in line just parked empty no people everything from sedans to quads to horse trailers
Never done it so I'm going to do it see how it works out

Some open country you can roam before the 15th?

You got your running shoes with you?
-
How'd it turn out??

Bummer... I was pulling for you. At least you made a road trip of it.

What a great trip to make! 200 people no thanks..... Wonder how much folks go to Oak Creek and Jow Watt on the opener?
-
This year I would guess about two hundred people were waiting at the gate to Joe Watt. First time I parked on the asphalt of the access road. I didnt find anything either.
