After 25 yrs of listening to me calling in her house and driving her nuts , she finally got to witness it 1st hand ! This spring couldn't of have read the script any better ! Called in 7 toms and they all played the game the way the game should be played ! They all were gobbling and they all came in strutting and displaying themselves and performing the spring ritual ! It was one of the best turkeys I have been on ! 1st one came in and faced off on my strutter decoy and after all the excitement my wife shot and missed ! I left my gun in the truck !! Haha never thought that was going to happen !!! Lmao ! But after that miss things took a serious turn ! She worked hard for the next one !! We hiked her up and over the top of steep ridge where this gobbler was just sounding off ! I get leveled up on him and it was over !!! I called he answered and 15 minutes later she gives him a dirt nap !!! It was awesome to see her flop her 1 st gobbler ! Guess I will not be leaving her home anymore ! Haha I have a lot of stories on the trip So I save one for later !

Awesome!!! My great-uncle and great-aunt hunted turkey together for fifty years, and this story sure reminds me of their hunting stories. Congratulations.

Nicely done. My wife shot her first turkey before I shot my first turkey. Her picture has been in Clarks for over 25 years.

Very cool to have a wife who wants to share this with you. Two nice birds besides. I'm likely not going to get out this spring so thanks for sharing your experience, BH.

That looks like my decoy setup. Great job. Maybe I'll get my wife out one of these days.
