One of the knocks for me on Kuiu gear was the inability to try it on before buying (unless you live near their California store). Kuiu appears to be tackling that problem buy taking to the road.
They will be at the Alderwood Mall June 8-10. I hope to make it up there and try on some of their stuff. Anyone else going to stop by?

Yep I'll be there.

This will be kinda cool. More importantly they are building a sheep rifle with Remington and Leupold and it would be cool to get some insight as to what the hell a sheep rifle is?!?! I think Kuiu is getting a little too red carpet. I do like some of their clothes though.

I thinks it's wise choice for them to do this tour. It will help bring in those that are on the fence about fitment/form/function as well as curious on lookers who may not even be interested in hunting let alone know there is a market out there for them. One the biggest complaints I hear is that there is no where to try on most of the higher end camo other than Sitka in the big box stores and very limited amounts of first lite. This will be good opportunity to compare other than trying on a buddy's gear.

That sounds like a horrible drive to try some clothes on for those in the south end. They need a 2nd stop :P
-
Hey at least they are coming to Spokane!
-
I will be there its like 5 minutes from my house. Will be bringing some kuiu stuff that is too small for me to sell also.
-
Lookin forward to givin them a wish list.....

I agree it should have been somewhere around Tukwila.

I'm surprised they put a stop in Portland. Only 20min from home..... I wonder if they won't have sales tax ....if they don't it might be a good chance for me to save, show discount, no shipping and no tax.... hmmmm

Are they gonna have products for purchase or just touch and order?

Thanx for posting this, I just purchased some of there gear, after a lot of comparison shopping, for some of us, this is a little bit of an investment to purchase this gear, I need a little a little bit more and this would be great, a little bit of a trip but total wine is down there and they have every Whiskey, beer and wine you could think of in there...

Full inventory to buy from.

Bit of a line in Portland this evening - only 12 allowed in the Semi-showroom at a time. I liked the Chinook Pants / Jacket - a lot like my Sitka 90% stuff. The light raingear is really packable. Don't need it with my chugach tho. Didn't buy anything for the 10% off but got a small wish list going. Nice to be able to check it out.
They are parked on far southeast corner of Clackamas Mall.

I can imagine Seattle is going to be a zoo. I originally understood that they would have inventory but my last update read like they were saying they were taking direct orders at the truck. So did they actually have items in stock on the truck?

Didn't see anyone carrying items out- saw lots of order forms being filled out. Not sure since I didn't buy anything - I try to wait for 25% off sales....... except only applies to instock.

Alderwood is a bit of a road trip from Puyallup, but I might make the journey. Interested in picking up some KUIU gear. Don't like the idea of standing in line too long just to check the stuff out though.
-
Probably want to avoid the 5-6pm time right after work...........
-
Drove by them today in Oregon .

Being in Mill Creek I was happy to see the location. We'll be stopping by to check out a few items.
I'm really interested in a nice pack that can haul gear and meat at the same time. Kuiu is on my short list but I can't see spending serious coin on an item that I can't at least see/test in person first. Mystery Ranch and Exo Mountain Gear are also on the list.
It will be awesome to not have to walk all the way back to the truck just to get pack frames. Too many wasted miles over the years.

If you make it through the tricities, I've got a kifaru that I can load up 100 pounds on, strap to your back and send you up a 40percent grade for 900 feet and see what you think.

I went on Friday to the one in Clackamas. No items can be purchased there but you can order stuff with card only no cash. We had maybe 30-35 people in front of us when we got there at 11:30am, as people came out of the trailer they let the same number of people in. After an hour and only moving up 15 spots we decided to bail out because it was going to be another hour before we got in. So we never actually made it inside.
