Title: coyote mounts???
Post by: bowtech721 on February 23, 2009, 05:06:44 PM: I dont really know too much about taxidermy I've only had one deer mounted for me but i was wondering if any of you know about how much it would be for a decent full coyote mount... ya know like on a rock or something cool like that. I saw one at sportsmans warehouse in lacey and thought it was cool...

Post by: 509er on February 26, 2009, 07:13:21 PM: Cabelas in Post Falls has a lifesize mount of a coyote that is pretty cool. It is standing has its head down low, kinda of snarling, it hackles are all standing up. I guess you could call it a defensive posture. :dunno:

Post by: rainshadow1 on February 26, 2009, 07:40:04 PM: 509er, that'd be a cool mount! That's actually a dominant posture. Territorial. Head down, tail down, stiff legged, and hackles up. "Get yer butt off my property!" I've seen it on a few videos, but never in person.

It was a Yote jumping up and pawing at a quail on a branch of a tree. The Quaill was flying off the branch as the paw swept it.
And he looked hungry :drool:
