R.I.P. Gregg Allman!! He was truly one of the best and my personal favorite vocalists. One of my fondest memories was taking my Dad to the Allman Brothers Band at the Paramount Theater. An "evening" with the band wound up being 7 hours of awesome music that never got boring. Even my Dad was having the time of his life and that's saying something. I met him twice and he was always very nice and acted like he had known you for years. Sad day.

Yes sir, RIP Mr Allman.

Sad.
Great vocalist, great Band.
I saw him a couple years ago at the Gorge.
They played with The Dead and the Doobie Brothers.
Great show.

Great tunes from that man! See you on the flip side! :IBCOOL:

Brought a tear to the eye...The Allman Brothers Band Live At The Fillmore East was on my daily play list back in my college days.

During his marriage to Cher he used to where a long sleeved shirt to bed so she couldn't see the fresh needle tracks.
And she used to wear a burlap sack over her head

I think Butch died this year too. That only leaves JJJ and Dicky from the original ABB

:chuckle: Say what???
I love Tom Hanks story from Lettermens last show on NBC where he explained being a bellhop in a SF hotel and delivering a bag to Cher and Gregs room, ..."I immediatly started to call my girlfriend toots....and I also started to experiment with heroin"

Yep. Butch died not too long ago so all that is left of the originals is Jaimoe and Dickey.
