I agree. I believe the new site has new many bells and whistles. Haven said that, I'm pretty sure the backdoor method of checking early results is a thing of the past. I think that's a pretty good thing👍

I wonder if it has something to do with the bear sprimg draw process and they are disabling it so that cant happen againI would assume that's the case. Make sure they got it right before someone has a chance to see the results.

Patience people... the new and improved system is now making you wait until July for results! Lol. I find this absolutely hilarious. No more backdoor and just wait another month.
I did hear you're more likely to draw OIL's as a group with the new system though.
Remember when you had to wait for them to come in the mail. When they went to the computer/online system I could see a tag I was drawn for in 2007 and never received the card in the mail had no idea.

It says before July 1st which is by the end of June in different word just like its always been. It could take to the end of june and it could be around the usual time.
^This. I think they are just covering their butts in case there is an issue with the drawing/results and they need the extra time to correct it without being bombarded by angry applicants. I'm expecting results in the next 2 weeks, similar to years past.

No doubt that's the case. It become very apparent several years ago when they changed the permit system from one category per species to 6 or 7 categories, at least for deer and elk. Made it much more complex and confusing, and just plain worse, while costing us hunters more money.

True, but the department doesn't run the draw, the new vendor this year is based out of Baltimore, I am not sure of the name. So our department needs to make sure the draw is correct after that vendor runs it.

Now that you mention it, I did get drawn last year so I would have had zero points. All categories with zero points are updated as of 6/7. I thought it was a sign that the draw was coming, but I guess not. On a positive note, I hope to draw something better than second deer anyway.

Negative. I could still view my points after the special permits link was disabled. My points link just disappeared when I checked it about a half hour ago. I have 3 email notifications that the draw has been done. But there is still no special hunts or points tab on my profile! :bash:Same here. I have an email for second deer and my wife has one for cow elk. We can not figure out to access the site.

same thing. would they notify u if u don't draw? mike wi got antlerless elk and I did points on that one. Also got second deer.

Got notification emails for antlerless elk and second deer, but it doesn't look like they've updated the website to include the "special permit results" option in the left navigation bar.
Click on active licenses , then on the left of the screen there should be permit results.
