Title: Cherry Valley Dog Training
Post by: Carl on June 01, 2017, 03:28:45 PM: I heard there are many acres open for dog training at Cherry Valley in Duvall, so I went there last Saturday. The grass was so tall, it wasn't possible to train with a puppy (or adult dog).

Does anyone know if it will be maintained at all? It's great to have a WDFW area designated for dog training, but not worth much if you can't use it.

Failing that, are there other dog training areas around? I know about Pepper's Retrieving Grounds, but looking for something free. :-)

There is additional pressure being put on the longevity of their jobs so, they are going through the routine of making a giant money wasting paper trail to cover their arses.

They all need to be fired. Each and every manager from the top down. I'm going to join twitter just so I can start sending Trump messages on what a corrupt bunch of donkeys are running WDFW which got the land through a federal grant signed by JFK. They are not honoring anything which JFK established for the sportsman and outdoor recreation fund which he championed. WDFW=guys sitting around just wanting a pension and not honoring or abiding by the laws written and signed by congress.

WDFW was forced against their will to open up the areas again and have "chosen" to work with local dog training groups to "allow" you to run your dog around on some larger areas. A gate is going to be open for a little while. Mainly for the farmers convenience so they can plant corn in the most favorable area for general recreation purposes.

This management is the result of Brian Boehm and Russ Link. If you disapprove of how the area is being run, please write your local representative and relay your displeasure with the management practices you have experienced under their oversight.

Post by: Happy Gilmore on June 01, 2017, 10:07:15 PM: Oh, My real name is Paul Gilmore and I was kicked off the advisory committee by Brian after quite a few years of volunteering and working on the property because my value system for public land being used for public recreation did not align with his vision of managing public land. He used to work for a private salmon habitat management(grant based employment) firm.
