I wonder how much those new environment friendly primers will be?

Lower cost lighter casings seem to be the new push... not really a shocker. I posted up a while back how the military was looking at adopting a 338 as a belt fed machine gun with polimer casings.

While reloadability is nice it's not necessary for military firearms, and it's even less important for inexpensive rounds like 9mm. Can you imagine this kind of reloadable tech adopted for 308, 556, or a 338 chambering? Everyone and their brother would be rebarreling their guns and buying those reloading gear.  I think cost is the biggest reason why people don't shoot more and if there is a HUGE advantage to reloading then it would seem like a no brainer move especially for rifle cartridges.

In their shop it's $100 for 1000 pieces of brass and the article says people testing have gotten 40 loads.

On Midway, regular Starline 9mm brass is $150 per 1000.

Now let's put this into a production facility and see what loaded ammo goes For? Some where in between steel or alum cased ammo and brass... buy a few thousand rounds then have all the reloadable casings you would likely need?

There are a few that sell loaded ammo. Looks like most goes for about $13 for 50.

I'm not sure I experience the problems they are trying to solve.  If they are reliable and less expensive, they should get some traction.  Reloading would be easier if you truly don't have to resize or trim.  This isn't a big deal for 9mm, but if they offer it in .223 I would think this would be a game changer for reloaders.
