Interesting study, but not surprising results. Roads and noise are not generally good for wildlife

How do they feel about wind farms?
According to PSE wind farms are a net positive for deer and elk.

Interesting Read.
Did I understand the article correctly the resident deer number dropped 16% while migratory deer numbers dropped 40%?

No wonder there are no Mule deer here n Oklahoma!
Actually there are a few muleys out in the desert.
White Tails do not mind wells. We have a herd that live behind our house that are around the wells all the time.
Plus there are wells everywhere here, and no lack of whitetail.

It will be interesting to see if the numbers bounce back once all of the infrastructure is in place. I have no idea how much maintenance and operation traffic there is, but it would be dramatically less then when they are under construction.

Almost no maintenance once they are pumping. There are four linked together near my house the closest about 400 feet away. I have only seen the person who cuts the grass about once a month, in the two years I have lived hear.
