Who has one? Do you like it? What kind of mileage do you get. I am going to buy a newer truck probably by the end of the year. I am looking at a GMC 2500 or 3500. Gas. 4x4. 2015 or newer. Just getting ideas. I have an 2003 f350. Going back to gas. I don't tow enough anymore. Ideas.

I have a 2015 2500HD Chev. 6 litre/auto/trailer tow special. bought new, 40,000 miles. Great truck, comfy, tows my trailer well, pretty good mileage 15-16 overall.
Runs great, my dog Rocky likes it.

not as new as what you're looking at but I have an '03 silverado 2500 6.0l auto and I can get 15mpg if I keep my foot out of it ie. 60 on the highway. gets about 12 on the highway from Yakima to Lynnwood with the cruise set at 78

I'm following this one. I've thought about a GM 2500 with the 6.0 for my next truck.

I drive a 2015 extra cab 2500 Hd with the 6 liter engine for work. I don't usually pay much attention to the gas mileage but when I was clicking through the options and number on the speedometer it said I was getting 11 mpg. I believe it. I don't baby it or try to get good mileage. I might be that annoying guy right behind you in the fast lane. I like the truck. Set the cruise and it pretty much stays right there with out the annoying down shift when you go up hills.
I give it a

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD, crew cab, 6 litre. My previous truck was a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, 6 litre. I bought both of them new. I love every thing about the GMC, except for the gas mileage. It is very comfortable, and very quiet.
Gas mileage on the 2014 GMC is not great. Just driving around town, I get 11-11.5 MPG. Pulling my 25 ft. travel trailer over the pass, either Stevens or North Cascades, I get 8.5 MPG. My 2004 Silverado did a little better on mileage, but this newer GMC has more horsepower out of the 6 liter. On trips up and down I-5 with no trailer, the truck will get around 15 MPG if I keep it under 65 MPH.
If you are looking for a truck with good gas mileage, don't expect the 6 litre to meet your expectations. I was looking around the internet, trying to find a magic fix, and I found this: If you want to ride a big horse, you gotta pay for the hay.

I have a2016 Gmc 2500 hd. crew cab 4x4. I get around 10-11mpg around town and 15 on highway best I have got is 17 on the freeway. Love the truck it's a 3/4 ton truck so it gets what it gets .

Are you guys running stock tires or bigger rims and tire
-
Also that's my thing,I tow my boat maybe once a year on a long trip. other than that it's all at the local lakes. My 25 foot trailer we only us it 2-3 times a year so I don't think the extra for the Deisel is needed

stock tires. stock everything.

I just bought a 2017 Silverado 1500. 5.3 liter
Amazing truck, love it.
I am averaging 18 MPG with half hiway/town. Best I have gotten is 22.1 MPG on a trip from Mercer Island to Lynnwood and back.
Got it 25% off invoice a month ago from Evergreen. GMC's and Chevy's are still on sale right now 17% off invoice

My work truck is 2017 1500 5.3 LT. Nice ride and pulls trailers just fine. No complaints, very comfortable and roomy.
We also have a 2016 2500hd great truck, but the paint is junk. I swear if you look at it too hard it'll chip.

I've got a 2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0 gas 6spd hd transmission with 50k miles on it bought it with 32k. I just added an aftermarket intake and muffler for better air flow tows my 24ft trailer just fine. I've owned a cummins and a powerstroke previously, I truly believe if you plan on hauling big toy haulers or large boats consistently then diesel is the way to go if you're hauling a travel trailer/medium boat every once in awhile 6.0 gas will do the job. Gas mileage isn't the best but its a 3/4 truck cant expect too much. I'm running 33's with 20" wheels. This coming Tuesday will be my first trip towing the trailer with the new intake and muffler. I already can tell a difference in response with more air flowing alot better thru the big motor.

Good looking truck. That upgrade sounds good. Let me know how much of a difference it makes
