Title: Snakes naches
Post by: TripleB on July 14, 2017, 01:41:24 PM
Hello my self and my buddy are in naches right now snake hunting, found a few so far. We are in the oak creek wildlife area. Anybody have a den that they know of that would be willing to share where thru private message? We don't want to kill them all just enough to get a little bit of meat and skins for projects. Any help would be appreciated.

Every time I have gone up Bear Creek  Canyon which is just west of Oak Creek. I have seen snakes.

Just along the trail that goes along the bottom.  It's been probably 6 years since I have been there.  The last 2 that I killed were on Hwy 410 beside the church in the upper Nile area.   Good luck

They are not hanging around the dens this time of year. Pretty scattered. Look along creeks and in the vegetation along draws and gullies. Anywhere there is a food source. The one in the pic is in an abandoned cabin taken over by pack rats...captive food source.   Good luck

This, LT Murry off Sheep Co Road in the Wenas. 6 or 7 miles back, look for rock beds!  You found um!

Once you turn onto highway 12 at the y go across the bridge and walk the old road to the right. Or go up waterworks canyon.
