One of my coworkers is shooting a Sendero in .300rum and is not having much luck getting it to shoot the 212 ELDX. Anyone using these bullets with good results?
Thanks in advance.

Vary the seating depth.
I tried the 285 Eldx in a weatherby 338-378 and initial groups werent good which I attributed to the eld's not liking a huge jump like the weatherby has. The Rum has a large freebore too. I would seat the bullet as far out as fits the mag - just make sure its not jammed into the lands which is unlikely but would require reduced powder charge.
I gave up on it before further testing. However Ive heard of guys having great accuracy with em in same gun so may just need right combo.

I've played with them in my 280ai a little bit .020-.050 off the lands and have not got them to shoot well but gave up on them for now I may try playing with it more after hunting season

Not yet played with the 212's in my RUM but the 220's liked 0.055" jump.

Maybe change the powder I am getting half moa with With Rl26 or Retumbo with a 300 win.

I loaded a bunch of these up for my 300 RUM sendero with 92 grains of retumbo. Best group was .380”. I noticed that the farther they were seated out, the worse the groups got. I’ve been told that the ultra mags usually shoot better when they are not seated way out.

He has a 1:10 barrel twist. Have him try the 208gr eld bullets or if its a hunting load try the 200 gr barnes tsx. The tsx has a much lower bc. A 1:10 twist should be good for the 208gr eld’s. I have a 300 wby mag that shoots both the 208 gr eld and 200 gr tsx sub moa. I shoot long range with the 208gr eld and have hits at a mile with the load. With rl22 i get 3050 fps +-3-5 fps with the 208 eld’s. I have punched steel at 1,000 yards with the barnes tsx and won several 600 yard shoots in the hunting class with the 200 gr barnes tsx and 80 grains of rl22 running 3150 fps +-3-5 fps. I know its only a 4 gr different between the 212’s and the 208’s but that might be the issue.
