Title: Dusky Goose Testing Question
Post by: SI Eagle on August 15, 2017, 09:10:19 PM
Does anyone know if you have to take this test every year or is this just a one time test and you don't have to take it ever again?

You take it once and it is good until you shoot a dusty and then your permit is revoked and you have to take it again.

Just one time, unless you shoot a dusky.  You used to get your card punched and you would have to take the test again.  Now you get to take the test again and a ticket if you self report.

Do you see many duskies where you hunt?

I've never seen one during hunting season. It's strictly westerns and cacklers (if my goose subspecies ID is on point).

SW Washington has the majority of duskies.  When I hunt down in Vancouver, we get flocks of duskies in the decoys every time.
