I'm headed to the ne corner this weekend.
how does this heat effect the bear Movement?
I've got some good starting point to check out, but not sure if the high temps will keep the bears held down in Creek bottoms, or if they are still going to be active and searching out food.
Last year didn't see any bear in the am, was unlucky in that regard, or is it just a hunt I should focus on in the evening?
Any other fall bear tips for finding food in the ne corner would be helpful, i found some, and bears last year. But I don't think I was hunting high enough elevation, most all the berries I came across were shriveled, or gone.

I don't have area specific info, but my experience is when bears are packing on the weight late summer/early fall, you can see them all times of day no matter how hot it is. Good luck!

It is very dry, I haven't been seeing many animals of really any sort other than a handful of deer in the fields by the river. I did get a bear two nights ago eating my game camera.

There are still plenty of ripe huckleberries up there right now. The north facing slopes are still holding a good amount.

Thabks for the info guys, counting down the last 61 minutes at work, then it's a mad scramble to get home, packed, gassed and on the road!
Should be sitting on a mountain behind glass in less the 8 hours, can't wait!

Heading to 49 deg north to start. But have scouted places in Sherman and huckleberry ass well.
Just stopped for a bite in ritzville, back on the road in a minute. Was hoping to get there with daylight for a little last minute scouting, such is life though.

Rough weekend, ran into 2 bears, a sow with her cub. We snapped a pic of the cub, and scooted along. It climbed a tree feet from us!
We saw some decent sign in a few places, but nothing ever materialized for us. Think I may be out of time to hunt this month too :bash:
Thanks for those that pm'ed me with info, didn't see them till it was too late!
Anyone know about bearpaws bear school? I need to get professional help to figure this hunting out lol!

I was finding berries and fresh scat in the 1,900ft - 2,750ft. I also saw 3 bear in 3 days at those elevations. You find fresh scat that is where you will find some bears.
