Title: Bino cases and packs
Post by: toyman2 on September 01, 2017, 08:50:18 PM: I have a Badlands sacrifice pack, I also have a harness for my binoculars.
The issue is I have shoulder straps for both. I'd rather just have something that hooks to my pack to hold the bino's. Have my pack over my straps for the bino's isn't all that comfortable.
What does everyone else do?
Does Badlands make something like this?
All I see is the same type of harness I have.

Post by: Kit Carson on September 12, 2017, 11:46:47 PM: I've never seen a bino harness that clips onto your backpack. Sounds like a good idea and probably a lot more comfortable than wearing a harness under a pack.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Post by: SGTDuffman on September 13, 2017, 06:15:46 AM: I have an Alaska Guide Creations bino harness. At all 4 points around the perimeter it has the female side of fastex buckles. So anything that has a male fastex can be connected. You can put those in the slack ends of your shoulder straps or buy the add in ones to put them onto the padded part of your shoulder strap. Duraflex probably makes them.

Now if I get tired of packing them I put them on my J34.

Post by: whacker1 on September 13, 2017, 08:13:12 AM: one of my badlands bino case straps ripped off the bino case, so I contacted Badlands and they sent me a new one. I took the old version and cut the straps off the collector that goes in the middle of the back, so the straps were long. I then sewed them around speed clips, so that they would clip and unclip easily from the backpack. It works well, but I ultimately went to a different variety of bino case. I am currently using the Kuiu Bino case, which the straps are significantly less bulky than the Badlands straps and collector in the back. Also lower in weight.

I think badlands makes a good product, but I thought the whole system was too bulky when also wearing a pack.

I can send pictures of what I did if you want to see it.

i would definitely look into other bino harnesses.

I was just looking a pimplier idea, or way. I dont like having strap on strap on my shoulders.
I think it would be great if the option was there to be able to clip the Bino case onto the front of the pack.

here are a few pics to try to explain what I did. I would leave the metal clips attached to the pack and then unclip the plastic clips detaching or attaching to the pack. The lower metal clips attached to the lower portion of the shoulder straps, which would go around the waist/belly
