Title: water proof gloves
Post by: grimace on September 17, 2017, 07:10:20 PM: The wet season is apron us so I'm looking for some water proof gloves that can be used from muzzle load season to late season archery. We mostly hunt Eastern Washington.

What is your favorite glove? Good dexterity is a must, solid colors preferred but cameo is okay..

Added - I had to go look at what brand my go to hunting waterproof gloves were.

Seirus Xtreme Hyperlite Gloves, had them for 7 years, they work well.

If anyone has other suggestions please add them, I'll be trying multiple gloves to see what I like and how they work with a release and firing a riffle, my son and I have the multi season deer tag.

Everything I have now is a light fleece or a wool liner, I combined these last year during the late hunt in the NE part of the state. I got by but there were a few miserable days too..

Ordered two pairs (different sizes) due to a large number of the reviews saying they ran small. Figured I would keep the pair that fit and gift the other as Christmas is coming. Well they came in the mail today and I am very pleased. First impressions are they will be very warm, comfortable and practical. I can't wait to try them in the field to see how they perform in the elements.

They do run small. Both pair fit but the large were snug. The X-large fit like a glove.....pun intended LOLOLOL. I usually wear large so definitely upsize if you are thinking of purchasing them.

This year for late season, I'm going to try the LL Bean leather chopper mitts with wool liners. When I go to shoot, I'll just slip the mitt off and have at it.

I have a pair of Cabelas glommits now that I use for duck and big game and they are ok, but very hard to take on and off, especially when the start getting damp. They are also not super warm when it gets below 20 or so.

Post by: milldozer on October 10, 2017, 07:27:00 AM: I picked up a pair of these in Alaska this summer that I'm going to try during Westside elk. They fit snug and aren't too bulky. Should be warm and (hopefully) remain waterproof.
