Any one know how the burn areas are? Is it all accessible again? Planning on hunting this area a bit on the trek to Davenport for rifle. Any suggestions on where to go?? Thanks Kevin.

The regen from the lodgepoles is so thick in the White Mt burn, that you can hardly push your way thru it in most places. Not to mention the falling dead burnt trees that continue to stack up on the ground making it tough going. I'm sure there are some good bucks up there, but you are going to have to really work for them.

Is it even hard to glass on those big slopes?

You can still glass across the canyons into the openings and do some long range shooting if you are dialed for that. You might have trouble recovering one in that thick stuff if you can't find it though.
