Well I went hunting with a family friend for deer again. This was my 4th year hunting with him and he was 83 this year while doing it. So impressive! I had an antlerless second deer tag for 124 and was able to harvest a doe and he shot a yearling buck with his tag.
We took care of those two deer and then that evening I hunted on my property with my general season tag and was able to shoot this non-typical buck at 65 yards. He has some crazy genes but I'm happy with him.
All in all, I couldn't ask for much better of a deer season, especially getting to share it with such a wise old hunter.
