I was sent a pic of a real masher of a buck killed by a gal last week.

I saw that posted on the Facebook so it must be true.

Ugh, I'm not on FB but that may be where the info came from. I really hope she got it legally, stud of a buck!
-
Me too. Some comments were made that it looks like a tree farm in the background. Doesn’t mean much I guess.

Tagging to see how this plays out, looks a lot like a certain tree farm that typically does not allow deer hunting. Masher of a buck for sure though.
-
You guys seem to be able to derive a lot of info from a few trees!

"You guys"? :dunno:

something is not right with that photo. It was not cold enough anywhere is Wa for a skull cap during modern deer, and I agree with the tree farm, but the leafs on the ground have been there a long time. Most trees in E Washington are just now falling

Having hunted there in the past there aren't many places in the state like that. Not 100% certain but definitely 95%.

Is it in the Columbia basin area? Those cotton wood pulp trees for paper.
-
Sure looks like a hybrid poplar plantation to me

She has some long arms.

It was snowing hard and cold as hell last Sunday where I was. :twocents:

Does the tag seem like it would be the same size and color as a Washington tag? Last time I hunted there they were yellow.
-
Washington tags are white paper.

This buck was killed legally in Washington. Not going to give exact location because I plan on hunting there next year :chuckle:
-
Oh, somebody killed him.
I was wondering when he'd get it.

You and others that spent months behind the glass watching him.
-
He's dead. No more details. Great.
Anyone who remembers the last thread like this is either chuckling, or in a cold sweat. At least there's a picture of this one.
-
First thing I saw besides it being a giant deer, is the terrain looks more like blacktail country than mule deer. But I am not much of a mule deer guy.

:yike:

You guys crack me up, one pic of the one illegal question gets posted but none of the other 70 posts from that thread.

You talking about my post from Facebook? That was just a follow up to what I saw relative to the OP’s question. I haven’t felt the need to look at that thread in days. I screen shot it last week and showed a buddy. What else does the thread say now?

No kidding! 3 to 4 inches of fresh snow and super cold. My 13yr old daughter had on two skull caps with a hood

Look at those bases

What a beast

Well I will chime in, kirkle, I posted in a couple other threads and topics of "a different breed of hunter" out there today. Get the biggest and the best at all costs, if it means corking another hunter, walking in front of a fellow hunter or treading on posted property, or doing something that may cross the line to be top dog, then so be it. Crack you up? I,m sorry,it happens every season, every unit, every drainage, and every so called "secret spot" and it gives us as hunters a "bad name" because of all the social media out there. I don't know if this was a legal kill or not, I will not judge. What I will put forth is that I,m sure you, myself and a lot of others on here do it right, we treat our kills with respect, we treat our sport with respect and we treat our fellow hunters with respect but unfortunately there are more and more of the "different breed" out there. I really hope this buck, hunter and story are on the up and up, if so its truly a trophy and an "honor" for the hunter to bring down such a buck. I would be the first to shake a hand..... :twocents:

Glad to hear it, congrats to the young lady!

I guess I haven't been there. nice buck
-
I guess we could post pics of anyone and just say we heard they did something illegal.

:yeah:seems like the trend on here nice animal posted and everybody knows exactly where it was killed and it was most likely poached :chuckle: I think it looks exactly like a spot in Idaho-I better get up there oh wait the big buck has already been shot! Guess I will try and quit poaching somebodies hunting spot off the internet and just go hunt my spots, Congrats to the hunter that is a great buck!
-
As long as we are criticizing let me chime in...the 'rifle in the antlers' is my least favorite kind of hunting picture. :tung:
-
I heard the Russians were involved? :dunno:
-
Long arming or not, that buck appears pretty wide from how the rifle sits in the rack. What a monster!!
-
I heard the Russians were involved? :dunno:
haha lots of fake news in this thread!
-
I heard she just put on the orange for the photos.
-
I heard she is a vet, the deer is from a farm, and it's only tranquilized so she can float its teeth.
The picture and props were done to promote the farm.
-
I heard it’s an Oregon buck :dunno: must have a made in Oregon sticker behind its ear :dunno:
-
I heard it was shot in downtown Gig Harbor :dunno:
-
I heard from a very reliable anonymous source that she shot this buck in Gig Harbor, with a laser cannon while strapped to a Russian drone remote controlled by a samsquantch. I heard CNN is moments away from breaking the story.
-
As always......
If someone doesn't have proof that this animal was taken illegally, then you shouldn't start nasty rumors.
If this turns out to be a legal kill, then it will be just one more reason people are hesitant to post pics.
-
I heard it was a BENCHLEG! :tinfoil:
-
Carry on.

Looks like the question of legality has been answered.
That is an awesome animal for sure. Congrats to the hunter. It would be great to hear the story if anyone knows.

A real specimen, great buck and congratulations
-
I heard that was Chuck Norris daughter, and she didn't even shoot it, she just hit over the head with the stock of the gun :dunno:

On a slightly more serious note and taking nothing away from this buck but pictures sure give it a different look and size (again not saying anything bad about this buck) but the pic posted and the pic on facebook (in the comments) sure show how perspective can change.
-
Everyone on here wants pics of bucks killed and yet after all these years everyone still jumps on a big buck killed with stupid comments. Jesus, if you don't have facts shut up. It's a monster WA buck, enjoy it for that and move on. I'd love for me to be the one holding that buck and have someone post it up without my permission and then have all my Hunt-Wa friends doubt me and talk **** about it.

Exactly, and its always the same folks in the mix....
-
I heard this guy didn't pay for the milkshake. Anyone have any details?
-
I heard the idiot held up Burgeville, then raised their taxes to boot. What an dolt.
-
That is a buck of a lifetime, CONGRATULATIONS to the young lady for getting it done! :hunter: :cue:
-
It's an awesome buck. The whole public/private thing is absurd and only getting worse...there's state land, there's state land that's leased (including access), there's "landlocked" state land that you'd have to trespass to get to, etc. God bless our National Forests!!

Anyone here what that old buck scored. What a pig

Hope it is not the Boise Cascade Tree Farm you are planning on hunting next year, rumor has it they are removing all trees and putting circle pivots in.
-
One of my buddies from the Yakima area sent me this picture and it is a friend of his’ wife. His buddy was also the one who shot the giant Mule deer that came off of the YTC.

I'm betting it makes net typical B&C. :twocents:

I wouldn't be surprised if it hits the magical 200" mark as a typical
