I'm not the hunter but since my brother refuses to start a thread I'll do a little one😜 Him and his buddy drew a quality tag( not to be disclosed)😶As partners. We are heading out Saturday so hopefully we can find a couple good bucks.

Lucky !!!! Take a grunt tube

Got 2 packed already 👍🏻

Good luck on the hunt :IBCOOL:

Why the secrecy for a quality tag? :dunno:
-
They don’t want to draw attention to the tag, these guys draw sweet tags every other year!! :chuckle: keep us posted mike!!

No dead bucks yet my brother and his buddy are being picky! The very first buck we saw was a 27" wide 5x5 that would score about 160" and that was literally 25 minutes into the first day so they both passed! :yike: We saw several 4x4s that ide shoot any day of the week but they are waiting for that migrator to show himself. I had to come home for work but I will update when I hear from them.

I don't know about passing a 160" deer. You never know if the biggest deer you are going to see shows itself opening morning or in the last hour of the last day.
Good luck to them and I hope they find what they are looking for.

I hear ya. I was probably supporting a very surprised look when we drove away from that buck. But after 17 years of applying partners niether of them wanted it to end that early :o

I remember the last time they drew that tag, they shot bucks early and right afterwards the snows came along with the big bucks! Good job waiting guys!

I applaud them for being able to stick to their guns. I did the same thing with my archery elk tag and I have no regrets eating the tag.
I'm pulling for them to get it done or at least have an epic hunt with no regrets.

I have never been a believer of the saying " don't pass on a buck the first day that you would shoot on the last day "
I have had many 4 day hunts where I pass on 20 or 30 bucks and shoot the first buck on last day.
-
No birthday buck for Jason?

I hate that saying! Makes no sense.

Not as far as I know! They do like withholding information :chuckle:
-
No blood yet! Just heard from my brother seeing lots of bucks just nothing worth pulling the trigger yet! They've got a couple areas that have some giant tracks they are gonna be keeping an eye on.
-
Ok I can’t be that guy that starts a thread and doesn’t follow up with it. After many days looking for “that buck “my brother and his buddy tagged out just before the end of the season.

Nicely done!
