Had a full week off of work and broke my own rule of not shooting one on the first day!! There was just no way I was going to pass up this beautiful buck, even the first day! lol no regrets what so ever! Already looking forward to 2018!

Beaut..... nice call
-
Good call ! Seems like first day bucks are commonly the biggest go figure. Biggest buck I saw in the Entiat in 5 days was seen in the first 10 minutes !
-
Nice!!
-
Love his frame. Probably a good call. He is on the better end of most of the Montana muleys I have seen taken

Picked a good one to break the rule!

Another guy who can’t follow rules!

I have decided to never pass on a buck the first day if it is one I would take on the last... of course I say this after I passed on a nice buck the first 30 minutes I was out ;)
Nice buck and congrats!

Nice! What day did you get it and was it acting like it was in the rut?
-
I would've broken that rule too. Good looking buck there!
-
That's a good buck. Congrats!

Got him on Saturday the 18th. All does had bucks and they were still rutting hard. Watched a few other bucks mount some does that morning and he was running one pretty hard when we spotted him!

Awesome buck, congrats!

Nice!

Nice boy! I wouldn't have passed either, congratulations!

Just a little luck I guess! ;)

Having only hunted in Washington the thought of even considering passing up such animal blows my mind.
-
Don't blame you a bit. I probably would've done the same :chuckle:
-
Awesome buck, just curious, did you see anything bigger during the rest of your time there?
