Title: Mounting Euro Skull
Post by: aaronoto on November 20, 2017, 10:01:08 AM: I just got my first euro bear skull back. I opted to do just the skull as I have nice piece of wood I'd like to mount it to. Two questions though...

1) Best way to secure the jaw? I was thinking hot glue...

2) Best way to mount skull to my piece of wood?

Super glue the jaw together. Secure with 2 screws from the under side of the plaque. Hang the skull from a 3/4" dowel through the the brain cavity and rest on the jaw hinge. 1 screw from the back side into the thickest part of the skull to hold it in place.

Post by: huntandjeep on November 21, 2017, 03:09:32 PM: On my bear skull I drilled a hole in the back of the jaw hinge,( not all the way through ) the size of a 16 penny nail. Then I cut a nail to the length of the depth of the hole plus a little. That way it can either be closed or opened.
