Post by: treefarmer on November 20, 2017, 08:12:20 PM: Christensen arms ridgeline on sale at cabelas on black friday thinking of picking one up, possibly in 28 nosler, anyone have any experience with them? all input appreciated as it would be the most expensive gun I've ever purchased.

$1799 I think. I talked to a guy who has some experience with them and he said they’re iffy on accuracy. Says Christensen guarantees their accuracy but you might get one that has to go back. Not sure I want to spend $2k on that.

I have the 6.5 Creedmoore and it shoots 5 shot groups through the same hole.

how many shots can you get out of a carbon fiber barrel? Very curious.

They start with a standard light profile quality steel barrel then wrap it with carbon fiber so barrel longevity is same except that carbon barrels cool quicker so longevity should go up but because you can shoot so much quicker it likely evens out or goes down. You could use the rifle without the wrap but wouldn't gain the stiffness benefits of the carbon.
