29 inches outside spread
-
31. Do you know. :chuckle:
-
Outside spread or greatest inside spread?
-
Outside
-
Outside
I went with 28"
-
Doesn't look like a 30 to me....
-
I'v got a 28" on the wall that I compaired it to. The pictured deer flares a little othewise they are very close. I picked 30" with the flare on both sides giving it an extra couple inches.
With that said....I don't think he goes over 30"
-
Beautiful Mount !
-
29.5
-
I went with 31
-
27ish
-
My initial impression was 28 or under when he was on the hoof. Probably because he got his butt whooped and wasnt that impressive in size for body. Staring at the photo, I thought maybe 29 and the longer I stared, maybe Im short changing him. I think Ill stick with my first impression. 28, but most certainly under 30.
-
Most mule deer average 21"-22" ear tip to ear tip..He may be 3" beyond his ears..I went with 27" but he could be mid 28" ish.
-
My Muley i shot two years ago had 23 inch ears. I didn’t think he was as wide as he was because of that. Was going by the 21-22 inch rule.
I say 29 for this one.

I think he's one tier bigger than the buck I shot last weekend which measured 26.5 outside spread. He's a good looking buck. Thanks for sharing him.

28-29

Here is a picture of my a buck my daughter shot a few years ago here in Washington. Its 28 and 1/2 inches wide. It is really hard to judge them until they hit the ground and you get a tape on them.

Bone, I think you need to sneak on up to wherever that little guy is sleeping and shoot him so we can end this wild and crazy assessment you have taxed all us poor hunters with!!!! The proof is in the puddin!!!!!! Better yet, maybe you could sneak up on him while he is taking his afternoon siesta and measure him while he snoozes!!!! This will make you the master of all monster bucks in my book!!!! Your pictures are wonderful and you have to have some great sneaking ability to take them so lets see you at your best!!!!!! :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

The only true 30" frame I've seen in the field. Picture was taken 20+ years ago from a fly in trip in Idaho.

I agree with most 28"-29"
-
I love the bucks. Dvolmer, your daughters smile says how stoked she was. Great bucks.
-
Looks like he has big ears and they are flat out. Widest tines tip out, I have a wide buck at 31' similar but I do not thinke he quite makes it. Going with 29".By the way great pictures Bone!

I've been eating tag soup for so long now that I'm malnourished and unable to judge.

Who cares!

Who cares!
Currently, 106 people.

Assuming 22" ears, I like him for 30". Starboard flare does it.
-
29”
-
29 is my guess as well
-
I would put him at 30"
-
This guy was 31 3/4" maximum outside spread.
-
I voted 28'' I just shot a 27'' buck in monatana so I have a pretty current comparison
-
29 as well. Really nice buck
