Didn't see anyone start this one yet, so figured I'd put it out there. Share your success photos and a brief story here!!

First two pics are from opening day with my Dad, brother and I. I shot 2 cacking geese over decoys in the morning, then later we snuck up on 3 specks in a field and jump shot all three.
Last picture was a two weeks ago when a friend took us to the potholes.

Looks like some good shoots Youngfowler! Thanks for sharing. Love the tarbellys, wish we had more in the areas I hunt.

Couple of the hunts this year. Just really getting into the waterfowl now that big game is finished. Figured with my username I had to post a couple waterfowl pics.

First day of hunting with the new gun turned out well.
-
First hunt of the year. Made it a Harli hunt.

Last Friday, first duck of the season. But my first day hunting ducks was Thanksgiving, and I haven't hunted ducks for about 25 years. So just getting one duck was a good day for me. Should've had four, but my shooting seems to be a bit rusty. Got to pull the trigger six times.

Rainy day and slow day but still fun

Shot like crap. Should've had a 2 man limit of geese as well. Tough *censored*s

Went out on the Skagit bay for a pretty good blow for a morning hunt. We only got 3 mallards, one Widgon, and a couple of buffleheads. I mostly shot them because my girl loves it when I bring home baby ducks... and it was fairly slow despite the wind.
We had a bunch that passed over us traveling with the wind but in most cases we were too focused on other birds.

Haven't seen much talk about the 3 day Brant hunt this year. I was out on Padilla this morning with some friends for the last day. We all took home birds.

She also did a 500 + and another 100 + yard blind retrieves on some very lively snows.

This was my first year waterfowl hunting. I mostly archery hunt big game, but got my girlfriend into hunting this year and she had asked to duck hunt. Was a pretty easy yes from me...any excuse to hunt more and buy more gear right. All jokes aside I jumped in head first, got some decoys, a duck call, and eventually a canoe to access some more areas. I learned a ton, one is that my scouting needs to get a bit better but the season was a success. I'm terrible with remembering to take pictures so I only have pictures of the green head and the sprig, but was also able to take 3 ring necks, 1 mallard hen, 1 greenwing teal hen, and 1 pintail hen. Goals for the next year is to shoot a limit one day, scout my butt off, and hopefully be able to decoy and call in ducks and geese to better identify before shooting. All in all I can't wait for next season to start.
